How To Pay Your Taxes

Payments can be made by the following methods:

Credit card payments cannot be accepted by mail. If you wish to make your tax payment by credit card, you may use our online or telephone payment systems at (951) 955-3900, or in person at the Tax Collector's Office. At this time we are accepting Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Please note that a "convenience fee" is added to each authorized credit card payment transaction.

If using Home Banking: To ensure proper credit and avoid penalties, you must make payments payable to Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector, include the bill number or PIN number in the account number field and it must be received by the Treasurer-Tax Collector’s office on or before the delinquent date.  We recommend processing 5 to 7 days before the due date.

Remittances (including electronic-checks) must be payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank; otherwise, the payment will be returned and applicable penalties and fees will attach. A charge will be added to the amount owing for any check returned by the bank. We DO NOT hold postdated checks-all checks received will be processed.
